  • What method of cleaning do you use?

Our preferred method is hot-water extraction for carpet cleaning. We use Butler truckmount machines with steaming hot water to get your carpets cleaner and a powerful vacuum so it dries quicker. We can also use low moisture methods when appropriate. For example, we turn down the heat and water pressure when cleaning delicate rugs and upholstery.

  • When will my carpet/rug/upholstery/tile be dry after cleaning?

Usually carpet will be dry in 4-6 hours, upholstery in 1-2 hours, rugs in 2-3 hours, and tile and grout in 30 minutes to an hour. However, there are many variables such as weather, air flow, HVAC efficiency, and sunlight that affect dry times. Our technicians can advise the best thermostat setting.

  • What chemicals do you use?

We have a wide variety of non-toxic cleaning agents with us – from unscented, hypoallergenic pre-sprays to high pH cleaners for tougher soils. Please let us know if anyone in your household has a severe respiratory illness or allergies.

  • How do you treat pet stains?

We use several products for pet stains, including oxidizers, enzymatic deodorizers, and pH-neutralizing agents. For pet urine spots, we apply a liberal amount of pH-neutralizing agent, extract with a high-powered vacuum, rinse and extract the area, then apply an enzymatic deodorizer. Please be aware that despite our best efforts, pet stains can be permanent.

  • When can we walk on the carpet after cleaning?

After cleaning, the carpet will be wet for several hours. If you must walk on the carpet before it’s dry, please be careful not to slip when stepping from the wet carpet onto hard-surface floors. Also keep in mind that wet carpet will resoil readily and to avoid walking across it with dirty shoes.
